Jodhpur Table 1st Contact Meet

Dear all,
The first contact meet for the proposed table at Jodhpur by JPRT171 was held on the 10th of September 2011 at New Millenium Hall, Umed Club Jodhpur as a drinks and dinner meet from 8 PM onwards. The meeting was attended by Tr. Tarun, Tr. Ashish, Tr. Sameer and Ex HT Sanjeev Mohunta of JPRT 171 and Tr. Kartik from JJRT 191 who was gracious enough to accompany us.

Though we got late in starting the meet, as Rotary Club had organized a Chetan Bhagat talk in Jodhpur on the same date, earlier in the evening and a lot of prospects were attending the talk and then coming over for the meet; we had a satisfactory meet.11 prospects attended the meet, and seemed to be excited about tabling. We covered all aspects of tabling, with all of us pitching in as speakers accompanied by a CD presentation that our RTI president was kind enough to send, as well as an extension PPT prepared by Tr. Alok from JPRT 171.An introduction of all present, followed by the presentation on tabling from our side and then a Q& A session, followed by dinner and drinks all along can be summed up as an interesting evening spent with promising prospects at Jodhpur. Please see the photos attached and the formal minutes will be sent shortly as well.We are also in the process of forming an email group that one of the prospects himself is forming, and which will be used to be in regular touch with them

The next contact meet is scheduled for 24th September 2011. Though this clashes with cricket match at Bhilwara, unless we do the meet on this date,
We would be happy we if hold the third contact meet as well before Diwali and the guys at Jodhpur get time to meet in the Diwali parties the will happen, and maybe they start gelling as a group!
Special thanks to all of us who found the time to go, and to Kartik and Sudeep from BURT for helping out. Honorary thanks to Ashish, who has an amazing knowledge on the local delicacies avl on the way, which meant that we had a great ride to and back from Jodhpur, with numerous stops for local food stuffs.
Guys, the way we worked as a team and seamlessly took over from each other in explaining tabling to the new recruits, was great, and we hope and pray that we are as good in the next contact meets, we are sure it left a good impression on the Jodhpur Gang. Tr, Ashish, our dear chairman, is the new star speaker – you should have seen him hold fort!!

As a take away from the meet, I have these requests:
1.)     I would urge all of us to PLEASE send some more names. The lists that we have from older attempts have a lot of names but as a lot of time has passed in between these attempts, most of the names are now less inclined to join tabling. Almost all prospects that did show up, were new contacts.
2.)     Email presentations on our fellowship, projects and HRD; maybe one of the quarterly reports, seems like a good idea to be sent to these guys as a sneak peek in the world of tabling.
3.)     2nd Contact meet will be on 24th September 2011 Saturday Do join in for the next trips, it is great fun!

GO GREEN

"We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors
but we borrow it from our children..."

Dear Friends,
It  gives me immanence pleasure  to share with you the GO GREEN Project initiated by JPRT171 Tablers...
SIDDHARTH SHAH
There are about 5000 new trees which have been planted by JDA in central park. But due to lack of proper support and fencing they were on the verge of dying. Yesterday ie 28th of August '11 Siddharth got a team of 75 scouts and 40 of his own company covered and gave proper support to almost 3000 of these new plants.
Entire span of 4 Kms was covered.
RAVI UTTAMANI
Ravi selected a small village in Haryana which has a lot of farmers. Since these farmers are from Bishnoi community and have a soft corner for the nature so thought it was the best place  to take up this massive thing.
Ravi took some experts with him to this village and gave a good presentation about the necessity and the advantages of planting trees . All the farmers gained a lot of knowledge about how to plant trees and how to keep them free from the diseases so that they can get good results. All the farmers showed an overwhelming response and were very excited to join hands  , He gave them 3700 plants (FOC) in the beginning of this month which have been successfully planted and are being taken care by the individual farmers.
so we are assured that the plants will be taken good care. In total distributed 3700 plants which were planted in 275 acres of land in Haryana.
He is now looking forward to plant another 10,000 plants in this year.

These are just a small gesture to preserve our environment...
